Following the success of the shared bicycle model in cities such as Paris, Luxembourg, Copenhagen or Barcelona, Montreal has announced the first model taught in an American city.

A total of 300 stations are planned for the beginning of June, with a total of 10 bicycles each. Users may, as in all cities that enjoy this service, take or park their bicycles at any of the designated stations.

The computer service that will control the stations and the use of bicycles seems to be high-tech including solar panels on the collection or return screens. Apparently, other large and congested cities on the planet such as New York and London have put an eye on the new application in Montral to emulate this service in their cities.

Hopefully the repair service works much better than the one in Barcelona.
